pointy pump heels

Currently loving pointy pump heels! So chic and timeless.
I recently nabbed a plain black pair with bows, but really fancy an embellished pair! And a neon pair! And a glittery pair! And, and, and...

Shocking Pink

I've been longing for MAC's 'Girl About Town' lippie for ages now, but I've been so lazy in going to a MAC store - the ones in Joburg are a good 20 min ride to get to! And when I did stumble across one at Melrose Arch the other day, they didn't have GAT stock! I know?
In the interim, I have found a fantastic substitute for a fraction of the price too! Rimmel's Colour Show-Off lipstick in Shocking Pink is fantastically smooth when applied. It has a matte finish - swipe on some gloss for an, erm, glossy look. And I'm almost sure it has a faint smell of berries! Score!

photo bundle - food

I finally got around to cleaning up the photo gallery on my phone.
And instead of bombarding you poor souls with a stream of meaningless pics, I thought it best if I arrange them in themes... photo montage!
The first of this three part series is titled "food". I love food, and I love taking photo's of food too! (except that tub full of broccoli, that wasn't so much fun - no wonder diet has the word DIE in it!)

1. Cheese platter 2. Easter breakfast 3. Tomato piggy on a sushi plate 4. Chocolate deluxe from Punchinello's (pre-diet of course!) 5. Macaroons from Mommy 6. Biltong is a must on any road-trip 7. Braai-ed/Barbequed prawns 8. Wino, glorious wino 9. Champagne at the Westcliff Hotel 10. Work lunch - steamed broccoli 11. Fruit salad at Vovo Telo

April Rubybox

Ok, so let me start by saying that this month's Ruby was a bit of a surprise.
I didn't realise I was paying a monthly subscription when I signed up. I just thought I was paying for a once-off box that would be sent to me so that I could try it out. What I was going to do if I fancied it, was to sign up for more. So, needless to say I was slightly surprised when I got a delivery at work this past week with a neatly wrapped April Rubybox!

The contents though, are much better than last month's in my opinion.
A 200ml Piz Buin moisturizing sun lotion is a super deal considering I only paid 100ZAR for the entire month's box!
I haven't yet used the kohl eyeliner, but am eager to give it a whizz once my current liner is used up - I have a 'thing' about finishing one product before I start with the new one!
The Lee Stafford Dry Shampoo was a gift from the heavens I tell you. I have been using Tony & Guy Dry Shampoo, which recently finished. The Lee Stafford one seems lighter, and helps with a more 'dry' feel once you've sprayed it wherever necessary on your not-so-clean lock. So far so good :)
And I am a sucker for fragrances, so the Versace Yellow Diamond sample was a treat! Lovely and light, perfect for the transition from Summer to Autumn.

Take A Peek Inside My Home III

The third instalment of "Take a Peek" includes cushions, kitties, lemons fresh from the garden, coffee table reads, and sugar bowls.

As we venture out for morning walks this week, the air is getting fresher and the sun is rising later... yup, Winter is on it's way!
