criss-cross

I'm not a huge fan of false nails, nor am I a huge fan of long nails either. So when I saw these stick-on nails from Sass Diva, I thought that they were simply too convenient to not try out at least once! Complete with a sticky bed at the bottom of the nail, all you do is place on and squeeeeze down. Simple!
The length is just taking a bit of getting used to - I'm usually a "cut-right-down-to-the-cuticle" type girl, but I must be honest, I have found myself softly flicking these babies up and down my cheeks since they've been on! I quite remind myself of my late Granny, she had the most amazingly strong, long nails (obvs not painted black with big crucifixes on you know).

So, if any of you are stuck in a nail rut, and are equally as lazy as me, just grab some of these.
Heck, if you don't fancy them once they're there, all you need to do is rip them off!
Easy peasy!

My Pinterest Picks

Like everyone else, I am obsessed with Pinterest. It's the ultimate procrastination tool! And now that I'm planning a wedding, it's very easily justifiable for me to sit on there for ages browsing all the gorgeous wedding ideas out there.
But for now, let's stick with some of my recent fashion picks that have caught my attention on the webs.
Enjoy!

Oh, and if you would like to follow me, you can go over here and do so :)

Mid-Month Haul: June

It's certainly been a while since I posted. These cold Winter days and nights are preventing me from sitting up in the study - instead, most nights you'll find me curled up in bed with the electric blanket on and Frankie stuck to my side to keep warm too!

Nevertheless, here I am! June is my favourite time of year. One, I love Winter. And two, it's my birthday month! Yup, it was my birthday this Monday just gone. And with birthdays, come gifts... yay!
This June haul comprises of some presents, as well as some treats from myself to erm, myself.

I hope everyone down here in the Southern Hemisphere is keeping nice and warm. Now's definitely the season for faux fur's, lots of tea and cosy nights in!

Muffin Tray Chicken Pies

Sundays are usually the day of the week where I try and be a little more creative and adventurous in the kitchen. So, today I remembered a recent article in the Woolies Taste magazine and decided to try out the Muffin Tray Chicken Pies.
So easy to make it's scary! I left out the peas and carrots - only because I forgot to buy them from the shop, not for any veg-phobic reasons guys and girls...
The recipe also calls for a rotisserie chicken, but I just used normal free-range breasts which I grillled and shredded from there.

On an overall, this recipe is super easy and convenient as most of the ingredients are lying around in your kitchen on a day to day basis.
The pies are scrumptious, but what I especially like is having my own little mini pie to scoff down and not feel guilty about indulging in! Yum.

If you want to give these mini's a go, you can click here for the recipe.

Happy pie-ing!
