How Quentin Tarantino of her, what with the glasses made from lit cigarettes, the lesbo connotations, poisoning of diner patrons and what not.

Kind of makes me want to drive around in a big pick-up eating pastries and pouf-ing my hair into a phone shape.

Moving and Shaking

I was just browsing through my inspiration file -we all have one, don't we? - and wanted to share some elements of my ideal home.

As I'm in between abodes at the moment, all I can think about is furniture and rent and and and...

But there's something wonderfully liberating about being able to choose your own bed, couches, steak knives, tea pots, etc.

I believe that, as with style, ones home is an extension of oneself.

It should reflect the individual, and that's partly one of the strange reasons I, along with plenty other folk, love blogs and articles that give the reader a sneek peak into the wardrobes and bedrooms of - heck - complete strangers!

So once I'm satisfied with my surroundings (this may take some time, I'm horribly fussy and meticulous) I shall give you all a sneeky peak ok?

The high bun has been my favourite hairstyle for a while now!

I moved to Joburg this weekend!

Sniff.

It's always awful saying goodbye, but here's to new beginnings and tackling the traffic.

It's so weird, because I've never been a beachy person but now that I am away from the beach I yearn for a dip in the warm Indian Ocean!

This feeling shall pass I'm sure, and I am only a 5 hour drive away from the Durby Durbs so it's ok.

Just need to pop out and buy an espresso machine now so I can be as on the ball as these Joburg folk.

Like, chiiiiill man, just watch the waves and be cool.

I'm over sandals and flip-flops now, I want to enrobe my feet in glorious boots such as these.

Feeling inspired after watching Alice on the weekend.

I'm suddenly in the mood to dress up and have a lovely little tea party and eat macaroons all day.

And then switch the tea for wine, should the party commence into the evening.

Mmmmmm, wiiiiiine.

It's here, no more waiting!

I am so excited for Alice in Wonderland, you have no idea.

It's my favourite Disney movie (no wait I'm lying - Dumbo is my favourite Disney movie...).

Ok so it's my 2nd favourite Disney movie - a very close 2nd I might add - but that doesn't mean I don't have the enthusiasm of an avid Alice fan.

I'm such an eager beaver for this movie, I'm going to book now 'to avoid disappointment' as they say.

Can't wait to see Tim Burton's take on this classic.

Imma sucker for Cheap Crap

I bought some stuff last week and never told you!

The jacket was insanely cheap, like I had to ask twice when the old lady asked for money for it.

It's a bit big so needs to be tailored and I'm wanting to add a little summin' summin' to it so watch this space for improvements on Old Lady Floral Jacket.

The booties fulfilled my want for studs, so I'm a happy chappy about that - but I'm still on the lookout for more, don't worry.

And the bag is from a charity shop - again, really inexpensive/light-on-the-pocket/cheap, I don't even think I could buy myself a sparkling water with the money I paid for it.

That lighting is just superb!

Looking at these photo's really makes me feel like getting in my car, driving out into the country and frolicking around in a field.

Obviously not as glamourously as Marloes, but I can try.
