Take a Peek - Part 3 (Or is it 4?)

I was watching the second Sex and the City movie the other day, and I couldn't agree more with Carrie when she admitted to swapping fashion for furniture. Whilst I still love a good garment, I've recently given myself over to lots of little bits and pieces for the home! I love my home, but filling it with cute and meaningful pieces is one of the best hobbies ever!

And so this is probably the third or fourth instalment of "Take a Peek", but you can always expect more posts like this because as long as there are decor and interior shops around town, there will always be things that grab my eye!

1. Never ending perfume collections
2. Special faces in frames
3. Scented candle (Nap) and skulls (Typo) atop my new Moroccan embossed metal stool (Entrepo) (thanks Craig x)
4. Warms words
5. Wooden person (Nap) - I think he needs a lady friend; I may need to buy her soon!

a view from the car

Whilst roadtripping from Johannesburg to Cape Town, my phone was never far from reach. In fact, it was the one thing I had for entertainment besides Craig and some horrendously selected playlists for the journey.

I would often whip my phone out and take a snap of us on the road - hence the above photos taken at one time or another inside the car. And yes, Craig always drove, and yes, I always photographed. Actually looking at these photos now makes me wish I had taken more than one pair of sunglasses with me haha!

Lunch and a Duck Parade

During our holiday in Cape Town, we took a lovely drive out to Vergenoegd Wine Estate.
We had the yummiest lunch and drank bottles of crisp, fresh white and blush wines... and then as the afternoon began to wind down, we were treated to a duck parade! The estate is home to some 1,000 feathered friends, and every afternoon after the lunch hour rush, the owners bring out about 400 of them to parade around the beautiful lawns of the dining garden.

It was the cutest thing I'd seen in a long time, watching hundreds of ducks waddling here and there in unison! Cute, but stinky - if you ever feel like treating yourself to lunch and a duck parade, be sure to finish your meal before the show commences!
