Just a casual outfit I scraped together one day this week when I really couldn't be bothered gearing up with cigarette trousers and blouses.

What has everybody got planned for the weekend?

For me, it's brunches, shopping, sales and home DIY.

Casual Sundays

Testing out my new loose tee from Cotton On, paired with some comfy jeans and some old flip flops.

Some Sundays are just meant for outfits like this!

I think my hair might have even been due a wash yesterday, but I was that lazy that I scraped it up and pretended it wasn't there - ew!

Macaroon Treats

My mom came home from a weekend in Cape Town last night, and was sweet enough to get me this gorgeous box of macaroons from Daniela's!

They are too scrumptious for words, and believe when I say that they taste as good as they look.

You will see that one or two of them are cracked - I stupidly dropped the box while I was balancing it on the arm of the couch earlier. It was like a slow motion scene from a movie, watching this box filled with beautiful little macarons drop to the floor in one sheer drop.

Needless to say, the unfortunate cracked ones were the first to be gobbled down.

Still yummy though!

Purple Spots and Gold

I enjoy dressing up, and I don't ever feel that there needs to be a special occasion to do so.

Whilst stockings and a skirt might not be considered dressing up per say, it's better than jeans and flip flops, no?

I thought I would escape the confines of my usual setting and venture outside this morning for some fresh air.

And it didn't take long before Miss Frankie wanted in on the action too :)

Animal Casual

A few posts ago I announced that 2012 will be The Year of the Heel.

This week, however, holds a strange need for pumps and casuals.

And since I was in a training workshop for most of the day at work I figured I could slip on a pair of pumps and relax in a skirt and vest - super comfy!

OOTD - Blue Palaazo's

These blue palazzo pants from Woolworths are so comfy! And very versatile too - they look great with solids, but also with prints.

Yesterday we kicked off our wedding plans by going wedding venue shopping. I think we've found the place, but to be sure, will be looking at a few more on my list today. So hold thumbs everybody!

Nail art for Lazy Girls

A few weeks ago I bought some "nail stickers" from Mr Price. For a few ZAR's I thought I would try them out.

They've been sitting in my nail box for a while, so I decided to take them for a spin yesterday.

Super easy to apply, and with zero drying time, these little nail stickers are pretty convenient for some funky nails on the go.

So, I love the print and I love the convenience.

But did find that they started curling up at the edges - as you can see on the index finger of my right hand. Anyway, not such a big deal, seeing as these only last between one and two days before they need to be yanked off.

Perhaps practice makes perfect - I will be buying more of these just to keep for those days when your paws need a pick-me-up.

Cat and Mouse

iPads aren't just for humans, you know.

The other day we downloaded an app called Games for Cats, which is, as the name suggests, a little game for cats.

All Frankie needs to do is chase a little purple mouse around the screen!

At first we didn't get a reaction from her - it appeared I was more intrigued and ended up thrashing my fingers away at the screen like a mental patient.

But as you can see from the above snaps, she soon got into it and started tapping her little paws against the screen - so cute!

Shopping fixes everything.

Whenever I'm feeling sad, lonely, angry, happy, excited - heck, just plain whenever - I love to go shopping. And with all the sales on at the moment, the temptation is as strong as ever.

I digress slightly - these are the goodies I picked up this weekend.

It's almost the end of January 2012 already guys! And as scary as that may be, it also comes with the reality that most of us are back at the office.

Boo.

I decided that 2012 will be the Year of the Heel.

Running in heels isn't that bad - just make sure you have someone waiting at home for you to give you a much needed foot rub every night.
